ROTK Trailer, Latest Release (to the web that is!)

Thanks to Binary Bonsai, who has done the actual legwork, I have found a great download of Return of the King Trailer. Well it isn’t really a Trailer but it gives you a commentary, by Peter Jackson (Director/Writer/Producer), on the making of the movie. This clip is 12 minutes long and is very good quality. I am playing it on my 19 inch monitor at full screen and the clip’s resolution is clear.

Now, to download this clip you will need BitTorrent. I don’t know much about this software just that it is for file distribution. The file transfer wasn’t particularly fast. The file size is roughly 140 megs and the projected download time was over an hour (on my cable modem). I started the download and went to bed for the evening, so I’m not sure exactly how long the transfer took. The clip is also in a DVDRIP XVID format. I needed to find a FOURCC codex in order to get Real Player to display the video. This may be a bit of trouble to get it all setup but it is worth it, I think.

Now I didn’t provide a direct link to this clip because it is on the Binary Bonsai server. I’m trying to be a good neighbor and not steal his bandwidth. So if you want to see this great clip you will have to pay the site a visit. You won’t be disappointed.
