Ok, I just got back control of my site. I don’t know what the problem was but we had to move my MT database to a MySQL setup. I have been wanting to do that, just never got around to it. Preliminary findings suggest that there was a problem with the MT database, perhaps corrupted, and it was affecting the hosting server, in such a way that it was creating an enormous load. In response to that load, the failsafes in place cut access to my site. Hopefully, the upgrade will fix the problem, but if it doesn’t, then rest assured that I will be back again, and again, and again.
Special thanks to Simon, over at BloggedUp, for working so diligently to get this slightly irate and impatient customer.
